What you’ll do

In your role as Senior Security Engineer/Expert (f/m/d) – Enterprise Cloud Services you will Lead Use case Development within our SIEM and Security services for customers and be a strong voice in our detection capabilities. You will work closely with our Defensive Architecture Lead and our Chief Security Architect. Your main priority will be to defend SAP Enterprise Cloud Services and develop appropriate measures for detecting, protecting, and responding to cyber threats. You will also be responsible for:

Use case implementation with Splunk Enterprise Security, Phantom and Anvilogic to support security monitoring, managing security cases & tickets, security incident analysis, and other security tasks

Responding to incidents from endpoint to server systems and perform root cause analysis; recommend and implement tactical and strategical solutions

Analyzing security logs to identify actionable events (SIEM reports-alerts-tickets, system, network, security monitoring tools) and creating documentation

Participating in the design, implementation and administration of security tools and guides/procedures to reduce risks

Conducting security reviews, risk analysis, and controls review; collecting evidence and artefacts to meet compliance requirements (NIST, SOC, ISO, etc.)

You will report to the ECS Chief Security Officer and you will support the CSO office, responsible for the effective and efficient security strategy, security programs, and services.

What you bring

8+ years of experience with information security concepts, best practices and standards; extensive experience with SIEM tools and operations (Splunk ES, Anvilogic are preferred)

Proven experience in implementing new security use cases and security analytics skills; experience in information systems support, security engineering, or risk and governance

Deep knowledge of security tools in AWS, Azure or GCP related products, endpoint protection tools and vulnerability scanning tools

Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

Fluent English language skills, both oral and written.

Preferred: CISSP, CISA and/or other certifications
